The shorts are out!

Date Added: 03 Jul 2015

With only 12 weeks to go until Cornucopia 2015, the excitement is building here in the office, summer has finally arrived, the festival season is now well underway, we have broken the shorts out, and tickets are flying out.

The new website is now online and looking brilliant, with sections added for the Festival Fringe and World Music. The line-up is looking awesome and includes acts like Grainne Duffy, The Jar Family, Merry Hell and Tantz. We have more than 55 music acts over 3 days with something for everyone - Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, Reggie, Rock and World music.
In addition to the fantastic music, the Festival Fringe includes comedy, poetry, storytelling, theatre and busking in the historic stable courtyard. This year we are offering a Wellness Area and Star Gazing in the evening. We tried star gazing in the day time but it’s not as good and it really hurts a lot. Plans are also underway to provide an amazing Lightshow and Art Exhibition. We are really looking forward to that one.

The festival welcomes families, with entertainment and activities on offer throughout the weekend. Rusticus is providing interactive theatre, Captain Kipper, Professor Fiddlesticks and Judy’s Attic are all adding to what is going to be a really fun weekend. There is a great choice of food available and 2 real ale and cider bars plus the oh so lovely caravan cocktail bar. Of course we must not forget the location; Burton Constable Hall and grounds is one of the finest Elizabethan stately homes in the country, the festival village is set within the grounds and Stable complex with the campsite overlooking the house and parkland.
